It looks as if there may be some truth to the theory that celebrity marriages, which begin amid a couple’s appearance on a reality television show are doomed to fail.
In the latest example to legitimize that fateful theory, we have Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Cynthia Bailey and her now soon-to-be ex-husband Peter Thomas (both pictured). For months, there have been rumors circulating that Bailey’s marriage to Thomas has been very rocky.
Bailey has even gone public with claims that things have been less than stellar in paradise since the couple moved from Atlanta to separate cities to pursue other business interests. Baily moved to New York City and Thomas moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to run his sports bar.
“I really don’t know where Peter’s head is at right now. I don’t know where we are in this marriage,” Bailey said on a recent episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta. “We have a lot of real issues that we’re dealing with. But you know it’s just another thing we put on the list,” she continued.
However, after making that recent comment during an episode of her reality television show, Bailey went on the Wendy Williams Show to spill some more tea on her failing marriage. “I have been taking some time for myself to just kind of figure out how I would like to move forward,” Cynthia told Williams. “We are definitely talking about taking steps to officially move forward in a different direction,” she continued.

Bailey and Thomas are not the only married couple that has failed after appearing on reality TV. Bailey’s Fellow Housewives co-star NeNe Leakes and her former husband Greg Leakes divorced amid problems that went public concerning Greg’s financial situation.
Former NBA player Eric Williams and his wife Jennifer Williams head to splitsville as well after their appearance on Basketball Wives. Jennifer cited Eric’s infidelity as the reason for their divorce after it became public that a mistress of Eric’s become pregnant with his child.
