You may have used apple cider vinegar around your house for a number of things such as killing weeds, cleaning coffee pots, or you may have used it in a recipe. Have you ever used it for weight loss? There are many different benefits that you can get from apple cider vinegar and although it has not been officially confirmed to help with weight loss there are many women who absolutely swear by it.
The health benefits of apple cider vinegar have been known for centuries but up until recently there wasn’t much hype about it. Now there are women everywhere who are using it to help them trim their waistlines. Some of the benefits of apple cider vinegar are:
– It acts as an appetite suppressant if you have some before you eat a meal.
– It helps to lower your blood sugar
– It can help level out the pH of your skin which helps get rid of warts and acne. Affecting the pH level also helps you to detox your body.
– It helps regulate insulin secretion
– It has been shown to help prevent fat from building up.
So how much should you have per day to get these great benefits? It is recommended that you mix 1-2 tablespoons with at least 16 ounces of water before each meal, or three times per day. You want to dilute it because the vinegar can be rough on your teeth and your throat. You can drink the 1-2 tablespoons straight as a shot but be sure to drink a glass of water after. You should only use this for two to three months, and then take a two to three month break as the acid in the vinegar could have negative effects on your stomach, especially if you have ulcers or frequent heartburn.
Even though you may be able to give your weight loss a kick with apple cider vinegar remember that it should be looked at as a supplement. You still need to eat right and exercise to get the benefits.
