Black Teens Ab0rt Babies 4 Times More Than General Population

black n white babiesThere has been a lot of talk in the news about legislation surrounding women’s rights to choose what they want to do with their bodies. A
significant part of the debate centers on ab0rtion.

Now, we have learned that the rate at which young Black girls are having ab0rtions is alarming. One of the concerns that this also raises is
that if teenage girls are having ab0rtions at such a high rate, then it means that there is also a high incidence of unprotected s*x.

There has also been a lot of criticism towards Planned Parenthood because they are accused of targeting Black and other minority neighborhoods when they set up clinics. (Planned Parenthood is the largest U.S. provider of reproductive health services, including cancer screening, HIV screening and counseling, contraception, and abortion.)

According to research conducted by the Guttmacher Institute, 41 per 1,000 women between the ages of 15-19 who have undergone procedures for abortion were African-American teens.

When compared to the rate among other racial groups, the number of abortions among black women is four times higher than that of non-Hispanic whites and twice as high the Hispanic rate. The study shows that the abortion rate among non-Hispanic whites sits at 10 per 1,000 women, while the Hispanic rate is 20 per 1,000.

The study also finds that while African-Americans make up only 13 percent of the total population, black women account for 30 percent of all abortions in America.

The report raises questions and may spawn debate about the cause behind the high abortion rate in the black community.

  2. I have a problem with these statics. They don’t make sense. Black women/teenagers are aborting more babies but we are steadily getting pregnant more and delivering live births? Some how I dont understand how they came to this conclusion.

There is a bigger issue that can be understood if we revisit the original objective of the Eugenics movement, which is to extinguish all “perceived” subhumans. The question we need to ask ourselves is: how does Planned Parenthood, the assumed agent of the stated movement, fit into this equation? Has anyone ever wondered why there are so many Planned Parenthood clinics in “minority” neighborhoods?

  4. That may be true, have not seen the stats on that but I know here in Ky the White teens kill their babies after they are born and stash them in the dumpers, school trash cans, commodes, etc., so what the hell is the difference???

many black women have a tendency to say” woman has a right to do whatever she wants with her own body in response to anyone criticizing her about abortion, the problem is is that she never thinks about the baby’s body:there are two people involved in the abortion prodedure, thats mom and baby, the mom ends up feeling nauseated and a lil pain but the baby experiances not only excrutiating pain but also death so why don’t we ask the baby how its body feels. Many Blacks fail to realize that abortion is a type of extermination , with well over 31 million blacks dead because of abortion, we are playing into the hands of those who hate us. White Supremacists who long to see us gone, wiped out and exterminated.

  6. I’m tired of seeing these articles based on misleading studies. All these numbers come from places that are required to report the numbers on the services they offer. Only entities that receive any form of government money – though none of it is for abortions -are required to report. These are you entities that typically serve low-to-no income populations which often read minority – specifically black. On the other hand, any entity that receives no public funding for anything, i.e. private entities, are not required to report and often don’t. These entities, more often than not, service middle-to-high income persons which often read non-minority. Don’t believe the hype.

And the writers of these articles that I’m seeing on a constant basis these days need to do research of their own so that they can rebut these flawed studies/statements rather than simply passing along misinformation.
