Tiffany Haddish (pictured far right) and Whoopi Goldberg (pictured center) are co-stars in a new film by Tyler Perry called Nobody’s Fool, which was released in theaters Friday (Nov 2).

Haddish plays the sister of actress Tika Sumpter (pictured far left) and the daughter of Goldberg in Perry’s new cinematic concoction of comedy and down home reality many of his fans relate to. For Haddish, the opportunity to star in this new film was the opportunity of a life time.

This is because according to Haddish, Goldberg is not just her entertainment industry idol. The 38-year-old Girls Trip breakout star said in an exclusive interview on the set of Nobody’s Fool that as a girl, she had wished at times that Goldberg was her mother. She also got tearfully overjoyed when explaining this.

“I’ve always dreamed of Whoopi Goldberg being my mama. I felt like she’d be the best mom for me,” Haddish said.

“I’m grateful for the mom [God] did give me but I still have always dreamed of Whoopi Goldberg being my mama,” she continued. Haddish started to break down in real tears of joy as Goldberg joined her on the set, stood next to her, and embraced her with the biggest and most loving hug that only a true admirer could give.
