The co-star from the movie “Act like a Woman, Think like a Man” has now been set to release her first book.

LaLa Anthony, according to US Magazine, will be releasing her book titled “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, $ex and Happiness” co-authored by Karen Hunter, January of 2014. The book also talks about Anthony’s exciting adventures and tough times on her way to finding true love with New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony’s tales of backstabbing friends, horrible dates and overall view on how women can find love will be illustrated in the book.

LaLa tells US “I’m so excited to be sharing my insights on love and relationships.  I hope this book shows women that they can overcome obstacles in their love life and be truly happy!”

Despite Anthony’s efforts to put out a positive, encouraging book about love and marriage, some may suggest that she isn’t the right one to do so.

After six years being engaged, Carmelo and La La finally married in 2010. Right after the nuptials, rumors then and recently have been surfacing suggesting that Carmelo was a cheater. What’s even more interesting is that there have been reports that the couple aren’t even together.

Both LaLa and Carmelo heavily deny these accusations, and continue to be seen in public together. Most recently, they both showed up arm in arm at Amar’e and Alexis Stoudemire’s wedding.

Overall, LaLa is a great role model for women of all colors who wouldn’t mind waiting a few years for that trip down the isle. It wouldn’t be a surprise that her book sells off the shelves.  On the other hand, LaLa’s co-author Karen Hunter is a well respected journalist and publisher, who’s co-authored several books.  So, maybe this is one worth reading after all.  If you read it, tell us what you think.

  1. I don't see a problem with it. She appears to be very humble, sweet, hardworking, and ambitious. And, on top of all that, she says she's happily married, and that's good enough for me. Dang, with all that going on she should have been written a book.
