The so-called “Queen of All Media” has reached yet another milestone in her illustrious career, which is already chock full of astronomical financial accomplishments.

Oprah Winfrey (pictured), 63, has been a national television personality for over 30 years. Her first syndicated tabloid talk show titled The Oprah Winfrey Show originally aired in 1986 and remained on the television airwaves until 2011. This program went on to become the highest-rated daytime talk show in American history.

In addition to hosting a top-rated daytime talk show, Winfrey formed her own movie and television production company called Harpo Productions. She also found time to star in movies as an in-demand actress (The Butler) and engage herself in many philanthropic activities.

After offering her first film appearance in Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple, Winfrey was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Currently, Winfrey is riding high as the founder of OWN, a cable television network, which is responsible for regularly airing a number of hit shows, such as Greenleaf.

Winfrey has an impressive portfolio of businesses and investments. According to a May 2017 article published by Forbes Magazine, Winfrey has a net worth of $3.1 billion dollars. Other global business publications have called Winfrey one of the most influential women in the world.

However, as of late, Winfrey has garnered more attention over the success of her investment in the Weight Watchers nutrition and healthy lifestyle program. A Tuesday (November 7th) article published by CNBC reported that the television magnate made almost $39 million off her Weight Watchers stock in one day.

So far, Winfrey has made a whopping $300 million dollars off her Weight Watchers investment. This company has experienced a major boost in popularity since the media guru took part in promoting, marketing, and becoming the defacto public face of the brand.

Overall, Winfrey owns about 10 percent of Weight Watchers, which is a publicly traded company with a total equity amount that has surpassed $1 billion dollars.
