There is an old saying, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” and some women will argue that that might be true but there is one other room that you need to be “cooking” in to keep your man happy. (For those that didn’t get the hint, we’re talking about the bedroom).

The following are nine foods that are supposed to increase you man’s s*e*x drive.

1. Oysters

Oysters have long been known as a major aphrodisiac and there are studies to back up all that talk. Oysters have actually been shown to release testosterone in men, when they eat them. They have also been known to release estrogen in women, so if you need a little boost as well, you can eat them with your man.

2. Bananas

Bananas have a lot of potassium which can benefit both men and women because of the energy boost that they give. Bananas also have a little known substance called bromelain and this is where the bedroom benefits come in. Bromelain is known for its libido-increasing properties.

3. Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds have many nutrients that help with both virility and blood flow. They contain tyrosine, an amino-acid which puts people in a good mood and we all know what happens when the mood is right!

4. Olives

Green olives have been shown to make men more virile  and if you feel like a liitle boost as well, black olives increase a woman’s s*e*x drive.

5. Figs

Figs are high in potassium and other minerals, so if bananas, which are also rich in potassium, are not your fruit or food of choice, you can always go for figs.

6. Garlic

Garlic helps with  blood-flow and healthy circulation.  We all know that when things really get heated up, we need a lot of blood flowing to one general but specific part of the body, so don’t hold back with the garlic. Don’t worry about the garlic breath-that’s what tooth brushes and tooth paste are for-right?

7. Honey

Honey contains several variations of vitamin B, which help boost energy and stamina.

8. Asparagus

Asparagus is yet another great source of potassium for an energy boost. So if the sweet stuff (bananas or figs) are not your man’s taste, asparagus will give him that boost that you may need.

9.  Watermelon

Recent studies have shown watermelon releases chemicals in your body that mimic the effects of V*iagra. So if your man is in the mood for something sweet (other than you), give him a a slice and then enjoy the results.
