Just three months after her baby boy was born and five years after marrying, Janet Jackson, (pictured right) has decided to leave her husband (and the father of her son) Wissam Al-Mana (pictured left).
Jackson, 50, married Al-Mana, 41, a billionaire Qatari business magnate in 2012. The pair largely kept their relationship out of the public. Jackson’s fan base went wild when she announced in early spring of 2016 that she was postponing her “Unbreakable” music tour to start a family with Al-Mana.
At her age, many people thought it would be somewhat impossible for Jackson to have a healthy baby. However, little Eissa Al-Mana, her three-month-old son came into the world in early January without any complications at all.
But the wealth, baby joy, life in paradise, and marital bliss has been a great big façade, according to an unnamed source close to the couple who did a recent interview with the New York Post celebrity news column Page Six.
Word has circulated about there being some major, long-standing malfunctions between Al-Mana and his estranged wife.
One of the problems the unnamed source talked about was Al-Mana’s domineering and manipulative behavior. “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,” the source told Page Six.
People Magazine reported in April of 2016 that Al-Bana told Entrepreneur Magazine that family is very important to him. However, the couple’s unnamed source told Page Six that Al-Mana has not been so gracious when it come to Jackson prioritizing her own side of the family as well.
Al-Mana allegedly became emotionally disconnected when Jackson moved her mother Katherine to live with the couple in London, England. Jackson relocated her mother there due to family members’ claims that her nephew Trent was abusing Katherine. Jackson’s mother was recently moved back to Los Angeles where she came from.
“That’s when Janet made her decision that there was no turning back,” the source also told Page Six. “She was worried about her mother — and Wissam showed little to no concern,” the source added. Jackson’s net worth currently stands at a quarter of a billion dollars.
However, the source was not able to give any information about whether or not the couple had a prenuptial marriage or if Jackson would seek child or spousal support, Page Six reports.
