Academy Award-winning actress, singer, a former television judge Jennifer Hudson (pictured right) broke up with her boyfriend David Otunga Sr., a professional wrestler (pictured left), several months ago.

Then a custody battle ensued between the two of them involving their son, eight-year-old David Otunga, Jr. Negotiations for custodial arrangements broke down when both parents began recently jockeying in the courts for primary custody.

Hudson owns a house in the metropolitan area of her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. In happier times, this house was used as the family home for Otunga Jr. The young boy’s father served as a stay-at-home dad for him while Hudson traveled doing celebrity gigs to support her family.

However, on the evening of Thursday, November 16th, Hudson summoned local police to her home to have them escort Otunga Sr. off of the property. A court hearing was also held earlier that day, which Otunga Sr. did not show up for.

It would have behooved Otunga Sr. to attend this hearing because Hudson requested an order of protection from him, which she was granted. In her petition, Hudson claimed that Otunga Sr. is a threat to her and the couple’s eight-year-old child.

“[David Otunga Sr. has acted out] aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior toward me. I am now living in fear of further action David might take,” Hudson claimed in her petition for abuse. In one incident, Hudson said the father of her child left a gun on the kitchen counter to instill fear in her.

“David [Otunga Sr.] knows that I am and have been very sensitive to firearms after my mother and my brother were murdered by a firearm. I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished,” Hudson also claimed.

Otunga Sr. vehemently denies the allegations made against him by Hudson, according to TMZ. He claims she is manufacturing this story to gain an upper hand in their ongoing child custody battle.
