Keshia Knight Pulliam has been on an emotional roller coaster ride over the last year. On New Year’s Eve heading into 2015 her then-boyfriend, NFL player Ed Hartwell, proposed to Pulliam. The couple was very much in love and a few months later they held a small ceremony for family and friends in their living room. They have been married for just shy of eight months. Last Monday the couple revealed that they were having a baby and that it was a girl. Pullium held a dinner for her family the night before where she broke the news before going public. All of this joy however has come to an abrupt halt.

Pullium had no idea that just a week later her husband would be filing for divorce without telling her. Not only is he filing for “irreconcilable differences” but he is demanding that Pullium have a paternity test done as soon as possible. There is no word yet as to why Hartwell is divorcing Pullium. She is due to have their baby girl in January. Pullium was taken by surprise with the filing of the papers. She is contesting the filing. Hartwell told TMZ that the only thing that he wanted at the moment from her was a paternity test.

You may know Pullium best from her role as Rudy Huxtable on “The Cosby Show”. After the show ended she went on to play Miranda Lucas-Payne on Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne”. Pullium was the youngest person to be nominated for an Emmy when she got the nod in 1986 for her portrayal of Rudy Huxtable. She was featured on many different celebrity game shows such as “Fear Factor” and “The Weakest Link”.

Ed Hartwell is a former NFL linebacker. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2001 and played with them until 2004. He went to the Atlanta Falcons from 2005 to 2006. Hartwell had an appearance on “House of Payne” with his soon-to-be-ex-wife. Before his marriage to Pullium he was married to Lisa Hartwell. He was featured on the first two seasons of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. The couple had many business ventures including clothing lines but none of these ventures fared well. The Hartwells had their $2.9 million mansion foreclosed on in 2007.
