An accomplished woman in Black Hollywood has just passed away due to a very untimely death.

According to People Magazine, Kim Porter (pictured left) was pronounced dead on Thursday (November 15) after being found lifeless in her Toluca Lake, California home.

Around 11:40 a.m. that day, deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call and began a death investigation.

When the law enforcement officers converged on Porter’s Toluca Lake estate, they founder her unconscious. Through a statement, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said that Porter was dead on arrival. She was only 47-years-old.

Though an exact cause of death has not been determined, an emergency dispatch call revealed that Porter was described as going into cardiac arrest, according to TMZ. Additionally, an anonymous source also told the media outlet that for a number of weeks, Porter had been struggling with severe pneumonia.

She has left four children to mourn her death. Porter’s first child, Quincy Brown, was by R&B singer and music producer Al B. Sure. Her three other children (Christian Casey, D’Lila Star and Jessie James Combs) were by billionaire hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs (pictured right).

Combs and Porter began their relationship in the late 1990s and were together off and on until 2007. Porter was formerly one of the highest-paid supermodels in the business. She also was an accomplished actress who appeared in roles on Single Ladies, The Brothers and Mama, I Want To Sing and Law & Order.

According to People, a spokesperson for Diddy released a statement saying that the entertainment businessman is “shocked”and “devastated” over Porter’s death.

Even after their final breakup over the course of their long on and off relationship, Combs and Porter remained close for the sake of their children. “They were still a family,” an unnamed source close to the couple told a media outlet.

Keep the families of Combs and Porter in your prayers during this difficult time.
