Stevie J. held millions of viewers and bloggers captive with his Stevie-isms, facial expressions and dysfunctional relationships playing out on VH1’s reality show Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta.  His love triangle with model and aspiring artist Joseline Hernandez and Mimi Faust was reality television ratchet gold.

Steebie J, as Joseline calls him in her Latina accent, is facing real life drama that is far from a laughing matter.  Steven “Stevie J” Jordan is being put on blast by Carol Bennett, the mother of two of his children.  Reality ratchet television’s favorite bad boy owes a staggering $1,158,391 in back child support to Bennett and she is letting the world know.  According to a July 2013 statement with the New York City Office of Child Support Enforcement, over the course of 14 years, he has only paid a total of $132,220.30.

On Thursday (October 31) Bennett, who is a former music executive who helped Stevie J with his music career, held a press conference to out the deadbeat dad.

“My goal is not to incarcerate Stevie J.,” Bennett explained during the conference. “My intent is to find a resolution and to co-parent with Stevie J. and that means emotionally and financially so that our children can receive the support that they deserve.”

Bennett’s rep, Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez, revealed to RadarOnline.com a voice mail from Stevie J. to Bennett that says:

”What’s going on, uh I see all this press it’s going crazy and then I see something ’bout a press conference on October 31. I would ask you not to do a press conference…so let’s try to figure out what we doing, what’s goin’ on aight?”

I guess the voice mail was too little, too late.

Stevie J. was the leader of the HitmenSean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment’s roster of in-house producers and writers during its 90’s musical reign.  He produced a lion’s share of R&B quartet 112‘s debut album, which included the hit single “Only You” featuring Notorious B.I.G. and even produced a number of songs for Biggie including:  “Mo Money Mo Problems”, “Nasty Boy”, “Notorious Thugs” featuring Bone Thugs in Harmony and “Your Nobody”, just to name a few.  The Grammy-winning producer has produced hits for Mariah Carey, Beyonce’, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and Eve.

  1. Why is this press or anyones business? We are the reason that African American men refuse to do right. By putting him on a reality show to highlight his scandalous choices, we cosigning bad behavior then shake our heads that he does not do right. The mother on this case is also scandalous. Instead of just hiring a lawyer and going after the extreme amount of money owed the children she put her children’s business on front. What’s worse is that the children have neither parent who is adult and responsible enough to ensure they have a protected childhood. Shaking my damn head.

    • Do you really believe that everyone else is responsible for this mans irresponsibility?

If he was doing what he should do there would be a need for anyone to know … point blank !

Its time to step up the game and do what is required, children don’t ask to come here, and you don’t want any then don’t do what it takes to make them …. No body should have to make you take care of your own

      • Whats up with these diddy producers-

MARIO WINANS is also up for being a deadbeat-he has nothing to do with his son and sends nothing unless a warrant is out for his arrest and to stay out of jail he pays and then runs again

that whole christian family, GODLY gospel IMAGE they try to portray is all smoke n mirrors- theres warrants out for his arrest again as well- its a really ugly cycle and it really all comes down to morals and class-
doesn’t matter what they say- its what they are NOT doing that matters-
        all these deadbeats are clowns

  2. Does this surprise anybody? Why would a man want to take care of 2 bastard children he sired?
The funny thing most people don’t care.If the woman didn’t care enough to make sure this is the right person to have children with then why should I care if he takes care of them. You can’t turn a male whore into a husband with a child. DUHHHHHHH!!! If they did they would immediately stop supporting him and his endeavors till he straighten up. Since its cool and hip to have a bunch of bastard children without a marriage or at least with a woman that you would die for I don’t see this phenomenon. changing any time soon.

    • I agree with you whole heartily, before lying down with someone first count the cost and take responsibility for your reckless actions. There are far to many things on market to prevent being pregnant. Far to many lack common sense and sound judgement of responsibilty.

    • It is amazing how much this man owes for the care of two of his children. Many people do not earn 1 million during a lifetime of employment. This guy who I have never heard of owes this baby mama over 1 million. This guy is just being used to entertanment purposes. He will have very little to show for his efforts. When will we wake up and realize that just having babies with no plan or marriage is part of what keeps people in poverty and destroys wealth.Marriage is becoming a thing of the affluent. They get it. Baby mama and baby daddy mentality does not make for upward mobility. So guess what. The children suffer because the adults are selfish and ignorant of the full consequences of their actions.

  3. Just the same as I pay mind he should pay his I’m not with my kids mother but I still pay. Ppl stop covering up for these guys just because they r stars they trick off with other women.

  4. I’m not at all surprised his personality, demeanor and TV persona is that of a dead beat Dad. His on screen character is that of a person up to no good.

  5. Shuntunna Henry on

Food for thought…It’s a shame when $132,220.30 isn’t enough to take care of 2 kids. I’m just saying, something has to be done with the legislature and the court system. It is too much power for the woman sometimes.

    • The article didn’t state what you are saying, it says he OWES and it means he has not paid in a very long time ! He needs to support his kids .,,
