No Fad Diets or Extreme Exercise: How One Woman Went from 350 to 198 Pounds During College

Alexa Rae Liccio had always had a hard time with her weight. She entered high school at 240 pounds. She had a very busy schedule and maintained her spot on multiple sports teams such as the tennis team and the soccer team. Even though she remained active her schedule interrupted healthy eating habits. She would often skip breakfast completely. She would have a very small and quick lunch. By the end of the day she felt like she was starving and would eat a large and very unhealthy dinner. The fact that her parents own an Italian restaurant did not help as she would have very large late night meals that were fill with pasta, sauce, and cheese. By the time that she entered college she weighed 350 pounds.

Alexa went to the doctor’s office for a check-up one day and he told her that if she did not take care of her weight and soon she would have a very hard time conceiving a baby and would be subject to a host of debilitating diseases such as diabetes or high cholesterol. She knew that she needed to make a change and that was the kick that she needed.

She didn’t follow a specific diet plan. She didn’t cut out carbs completely, she didn’t go with a fad diet, and she didn’t do a cleanse. Instead she took her favorite meals and she found healthier ways to make them. She is a sucker for pasta and so she would make zucchini pasta that was cooked in olive oil and ripe tomatoes as opposed to regular pasta which is full of carbs and sauce that was full of sugar. She also began to cook her meals on Sunday night so that she would have meals for the rest of the week and wouldn’t have to worry about not having the time to cook them.

Going to the gym was one of her biggest challenges. She was so afraid that people were going to make fun of her while she was working out that she avoided it all together. She brought her sister with her as a gym buddy. Her routine developed into 45 minutes of cardio on the machines followed by Zumba classes and boot camp classes. When she graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia she weighed 198 pounds. All of her hard work was paying off and she didn’t have to make extreme changes in order to do it.

There are a lot if ramifications surrounding weight gain you have to figure yours out I’m going to be honest Look at the way those anorexics Lise weight If course do t throw up But adopt chewing gum and drinking water Eat broth it only has ten calories a don’t eat before 3 pm Look at how skinny they are Especially if you are obese You’re goons die anyways from overeating
