On Friday afternoon ( March 10), singer Ciara was involved in a two-car accident in Los Angeles, California.
According to various national media sources, the 31-year-old “Promise” performer experienced minor injuries after the accident. However, Ciara (who is pregnant with her second child) was not reportedly hospitalized and cooperated with police when they arrived at the scene.
“[Ciara] was driving a white Mercedes SUV and was making a left turn when a grey Volvo SUV slammed into the front passenger side of the vehicle,” a witness at the scene reportedly told TMZ.
The witness who spoke to TMZ also said that they saw Ciara walking around the scene on a cell phone call and holding on to her chest and shoulder. She also needed a little bit of assistance as she exited her vehicle. However, a source close to Ciara told People Magazine that she “is doing fine now.”
The Los Angeles Police Department hasn’t given many details from their investigation of the accident. “From what we can gather, it was exchange information only,” a police spokesman told People Magazine. Ciara is in the third trimester of her pregnancy with a second child, which she has claimed is a boy.
Around the time of the accident, her NFL star husband Russell Wilson sent out a tweet with a picture of his wife and stepson. “Love Wins Always. #Family,” Wilson wrote. Ciara and Wilson are excited about having their first child together since getting married last year.
Ciara’s first son is from a previous relationship with rapper Future.
