Reality television star and R&B singer Tamar Braxton (pictured right) has been married to her husband Vince Herbert (pictured left) for almost nine years.
Herbert is a music industry executive and the founder of Streamline Records, a subsidiary of the Interscope/Geffen/A&M conglomerate. He began dating Braxton in 2003 shortly after she divorced her first husband named Darrell “Delite” Allamby.
Allamby is a music producer who has been behind the boards crafting hits for a number of artists, such as rapper Busta Rhymes and the late Gerald Levert to name a few. Braxton and Herbert have a four-year-old son together named Logan.
Braxton met her first and second husband through close people she knows who are in the music industry. It is safe to say that music and her family’s involvement in the business has been a big part of her life. It’s been a major stepping stone for her entrance into other divisions of the entertainment business.
However, Braxton recently did an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, which probably shocked some of her biggest fans. During her interview, the 40-year-old entertainer announced that she is officially retiring from the music business for the purpose of prioritizing her marriage to Herbert.
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works. There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that,” Braxton told Entertainment Tonight.
The “Love and War” hit maker also said that her upcoming album Bluebird of Happiness will be her last. The album has a September 29th release date. However, the great Toni Braxton’s younger sister still plans to be involved in the music business behind the scenes writing songs for other artists.
