Another marriage, which has unfolded in front of a reality television show’s cameras has bitten the dust.
According to a Wednesday (October 25th) article published by the Los Angeles Times, R&B superstar and actress Tamar Braxton (pictured left) has filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Los Angles Times journalist Christie D’Zurilla attributed this information to the Associated Press in her report.
Braxton’s divorce papers were filed on Tuesday (October 24th), according to D’Zurilla’s report for the Los Angeles Times. For the past nine years, Braxton, 40, has been married to Vince Herbert (pictured right), 44. Herbert is a veteran music producer, executive, and the founder of Streamline Records.
Herbert met Braxton in 2003 through her elder sister Toni Braxton, an A-list music artist that he worked with on successful projects in the past. Herbert started dating the younger Braxton soon after and subsequently began managing her music career.
Braxton filed for divorce approximately one month before the couple’s nine-year wedding anniversary. She shares a son with Herbert named Logan who is four years of age. The young boy was born on June 6, 2013.
In addition to their collective musical accolades, Herbert and Braxton have also enjoyed success in the television industry. The couple’s We tv original reality television series Tamar & Vince debuted in September 2012.
The show was a spinoff of Braxton Family Values, another successful We tv original reality television series, which Herbert had appeared on multiple times. Also this past Wednesday, People Magazine published a report, which further confirmed Braxton’s divorce filing.
An exclusive statement to the magazine from Braxton’s unnamed rep partially reads as follows:
“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert. Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.” (People Magazine)
The first episode of the fifth season of Tamar & Vince is scheduled to air on November 9th.
