We all know that s*x is a good way to exercise, but did you know that strength training is good for s*x? A regular cardio workout can increase your s*x drive for 15 to 45 minutes after your workout. If you add in a little strength training however you are looking at longer times than that! You can end up extending your state of ar0usal to almost 90 minutes after a good workout that includes strength training.
When you exercise your heart is pumping and the adrenaline is flowing. This helps your body to become ar0used. When you are lifting weights it will take you a little longer to hit the middle range of your heart rate but when you do get there it stays there longer which means that you are ar0used for longer. This is not only good for you but good for your partner as well.
Make sure that you still get your cardio into your routine but get a great strength training workout in there too. The more you do the longer you can sustain your period of ar0usal. Dr. Tierney Lorenz from the Kinsey Institute which is located at Indiana University says that you should do at least a 20 minute workout in order to make it effective. A study was conducted on participants who exercised from 30 minutes and up and they found that this caused the ar0usal period to stick around for longer. Dr. Lorenz states that if you do a workout that is less than 20 minutes long your body will recover from the workout too quickly and it won’t have time to gain any of the benefits of getting a good workout.
