Tia Mowry is used to being in the spotlight. She and her twin sister Tamara gained fame with the show Sister Sister. Now Tia stars in a new show called Instant Mom where she marries a man who has two children. Tia says that her life has changed because of people being able to go on the internet and find out pretty much anything they want about her life. People tend to leave their comments and opinions on celebrity stories, but Tia doesn’t let it get to her. She spoke about how media has had a role in changing her life in an interview with Rolling Out.

She began the interview by speaking about her new show. She says that she loves playing a mother for the first time on TV. She also likes the family dynamic of the show. Tia says that it reminds her of when great shows like Sister Sister, The Cosby Show, and even shows like Martin were on that really focused on the families and their lives.

Tia then went on to talk about the scrutiny that comes with being a public figure and having a reality show. She stated that yes, it’s a reality show, but it’s still just a show. It is not a true representation of her day to day life and she thinks it is unhealthy for people to make snap judgments based on what they see on a television show. She also says that it does not bother her when people choose to voice their opinions about her or comment negatively. Tia says that she lives for herself and her family, no one else. People voice their opinion that she is the “stronger” twin but she says that she has an edge, yes, but has a sensitive side as well. People often view this “edgy” vibe as her being a strong but aggressive woman.

Tia is a level-headed person. She is smart and knows how to balance her time effectively between work and family. We should all take a lesson from her and realize that what others say about us doesn’t matter. You should live your life for just you and your loved ones.
