During the latest episode of “Braxton Family Values,” singer Toni Braxton had a talk with her sister Towanda about her relationship with Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams.
In a nutshell, Braxton, 49, told her sister that Williams, 48, is a romantic man who does a good job of keeping her happy. Braxton and Williams made headlines last year after it was confirmed that the pair was definitely an item. Though they are both in the entertainment business, Braxton and Williams come from two different worlds.
However, if opposites do indeed attract, these two stars definitely validate that notion. “B [Birdman] called me the other day, yesterday actually, and he was just like, ‘T, I want you to hang out with me, whatever it is, let’s just do something,'” Braxton told her sister on their family’s reality show.
“I have anxiety and bubbles in my tummy and stuff. I don’t know what’s going on with me,” she continued. Things between the platinum-selling pair seem to be going fine. But Braxton told her sister about a gut feeling she carries that sometimes keeps her from being sold on a long-term relationship.
“You ever been scared to be happy? I haven’t been happy in a long time outside of work. Work brings me extreme happiness. When I’m on stage and I’m performing, that’s the only time that I get those butterflies and I feel totally happy with my life,” Braxton went on to say.
“A romantic relationship? I haven’t had time for that — I should say, I chose not to make time for it but it’s right here in front of my face: happiness,” she added.
Braxton additionally stated that she would never have imagined herself being involved with Williams 10 years ago. She was previously married to songwriter and music manager Keri Lewis. Lewis is best known for managing R&B supergroup “Mint Condition” in the early 1990s. The couple finalized their divorce in 2013.
