Do you ever see women walking down the street who have skin that just glows? Do you wonder how they get that glow? It may be because they are eating foods that help to balance out their hormones. Here are some great foods that you should eat regularly to help balance hormones and make your skin glow!

Healthy fats are a great way to start balancing your hormones:

– Avocados have vitamins E and B, magnesium, folic acid, and potassium in them.

– Egg yolks are full of great things for your skin and hormones. They contain vitamins A, B2, B6, B9, D, E, potassium, phosphorous, calcium and iron.

Clean proteins are another great food that should be included in your diet:

– Quinoa
– Seeds
– Beans
– Nuts that are soaked or sprouted
– Lentils
– Wild caught fish
– Pasture-raised eggs

Don’t forget about veggies!

– Anything dark green such as kale, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, collard greens
– Starchy foods such as beets, spaghetti squash, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash
– Brightly colored such as carrots, peppers, tomatoes, red cabbage, and red or white onions

Once you have thrown some of these foods together to make a tasty dish that has hormone balancing power you may want to add some spices or herbs to it to make it a little more flavorful. Here are some great ones with healing properties.

– Cinnamon
– Garlic
– Tumeric
– Ginger
– Cumin
– Cayenne

Not only will balancing out your hormones help you to get glowing skin but there are a number of other benefits as well. You will have less mood swings, your hair will be healthier, and you will have energy. You will also be able to conceive easier as balancing hormones increases fertility.

  1. Deep breathing during meditation, walking and/or running also help in making the skin glow. The increased oxygen intake contributes to healthy skin. In addition, drinking water and/or fruit juice, not chemically laden sodas, helps to eliminate toxins from one’s system which leads to better looking skin. And think of what you have to spend for air and water! – nothing!

    • Raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds are good choices. Black beans and garbonzo beans are high in protein, buf if you like beans, any bean is a good choice as long as you don’t ruin the benefits by cooking them with seasonings that have flavor enhancers and other artificial additives. Bon apetite.
