What You Really Need When You Think You Need More Time

You have work, family, overtime, chores, and sometimes even school. It seems like there are never enough hours in the day to get everything done. Don’t you wish that you had more time in the day so that you could feel like you have completed everything that you need to do? Many times when we are sitting still we feel that we are wasting our time or that we could be doing something that could be earning us money.

Even if you got the extra time in the day, what would you do with it? Considering how you schedule your already hectic day you would probably fill up those extra hours with even more work. Then you would be begging for more time to get even more done. We are workaholics by nature. The biggest idea that we need to learn is how to space our time out so that we aren’t so over-booked, over-worked, and over-tired.

One of the best ways to clear up your space is to practice a little yoga. You may say that you have no time, but a few minutes of mind-clearing breathing and posing will do your body and mind good. It takes seconds to place your mat on the floor and a few minutes to breathe deep and clear your mind.

Some other ways that you can easily clear your mind are talking a walk outside, watching the sunset, cooking, and writing a letter. All of these things take a small amount of time out of your day but allow you to relax and get your mind off of other things that are happening. These things will also help you to feel more at ease in life and help you to try and free up your schedule so that you can have a little more space for downtime and relaxation.



  1. Who said it had to be a 40 Hour work week? 5 days a week? 4 years required for bachelors degree? Who makes these rules? Then we would be able to RELAX!!
