Celebrities just love to feud. It almost seems like it is in their nature to have an enemy in Hollywood. The latest feud is between Stacey Dash and Beyonce. Dash took to social media to slam Queen B’s mother, Tina Knowles when she discovered a post on Instagram showing Knowles and Kelly Rowland at a Halloween party. Rowland was dressed up as Dash’s Clueless character, Dionne, which Dash thought was great. What she did not like however was what Knowles had written about the Destiny’s Child alum’s costume. The caption on the photo read, “This is my baby as Dione last night of course she is prettier and more smart than the one from the movie but I was confused cause she kept saying something about her pager.”
Dash took offense to the quote taking it to be a personal jab against her. She fired back with, “First of all, if you’re trying to throw shade about someone’s intelligence, maybe used ‘smarter’ instead of ‘more smart’” and “Here’s the thing – Kelly Rowland is a beautiful girl and I love the costume! Imitation is the best form of flattery.” Some of Dash’s fans lashed out as well which caused Beyonce’s mother to edit her caption to tell people that she was talking about the character and not Dash herself.
On the other side of the table Beyonce’s fan started to bash Dash stating that she looked older than Tina Knowles and that she needed to keep quiet and settle down. They said that she “woke the Hive” by coming after Tina Knowles. Mess with the mother and you have messed with Queen B and the “Beyhive” as well apparently.
This is not the first time that Dash has had people come after her for her words either. Earlier this year she called Jesse Williams’ impassioned speech at the BET awards “racist” and started an internet firestorm from the black community. She also called out those stating that the Oscars were “so white” by saying that first people wanted to be integrated, but yet they have the BET awards and those aren’t considered to be “racist”. Dash does not have the support of so many in the black community for the words that she says and this latest feud is just another to add to the list.
