Yolanda Adams is not just a gospel singer, record producer, actress, and radio host; she is also a gorgeous, healthy Black woman. At a glance, one would not guess that she is 52 years old because she is healthy, fit and fabulous.
Adams released a gospel album titled “What a Wonderful Time” and shortly after that, she ventured into the radio world as a radio host. Her show “The Yolanda Adams Morning Show” has increasingly become a great success and in the first two years she was on air, her show was heard in over 26 markets. Now, her show is heard in 39 markets.
The talented Ms. Adams’s radio show also has a blog. In a recent blog post, the power-house singer shared a secret to her beauty and how she starts her mornings; a smoothie!
Here’s what she shared:
Blueberries contain vitamin A and natural feel good flavanoids. Pineapples are rich in fiber and reduce inflammation. Celery is a natural detoxifier, and kale is rich in vitamin C and is great for skin hair and nails. Plus, apples are full of fiber and eliminate toxins.
This recipe for the Sunrise Beauty Smoothie serves 2:
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup pineapples
1 stalk of celery
1/2 Granny Smith apple
1 cup of kale
8 oz. coconut water
1/2 cup crushed ice
Liquify until completely smooth
It’s great to remember that when trying out smoothie recipes, you can use frozen ingredients if some of them are not available in fresh form, at your local supermarket. Also, to keep your smoothies “clean,” you can use organic fruits and vegetables and use filtered or bottled water, instead of tap water for your ice.
