A lot of women don’t know until after they have had their baby or babies that it can be a very big challenge to continue to work out and exercise self care. Because a baby can require a lot of time and attention, exercise is one of the first things that a busy Mom will often drop from her busy life, especially if she is juggling other kids, work and family and community obligations.
The good news is that in order to still keep in shape, you don’t always need to go to the gym and spend an hour there. You can focus on committing to doing 10 or 15 minutes at a time and you can do it at different times during the day, depending on what is convenient for you and your busy schedule.
In the video below, Yonka Beckem, demonstrates quick and effective exercises that can be done in minutes rather than a whole hour at the gym. Take a look at the home video, where she is joined by her precious seven month old who also has a few things to say! Yonka does a great job of showing us that with a few adjustments, we can take care of both baby and ourselves.
