Why Some Women Go For Married Men & Skip Single Men

No matter how much they trust their man, married women often get a bit miffed at the fact that their husband has single female friends. This is with good reason, most of the time, because it seems that some men just can’t help themselves, whether they are married or not. They will tell you that they have been looking for someone just like you, but then they go out and flirt with other women.

Let’s say you are a single woman, and a male friend asks you out for drinks after work. You have known him for a while and feel like you are close friends, so you accept. This is how it starts. He will begin flirting with you. He may be shy at first, but eventually he will “grow a pair” and be more direct. He will start telling you that he saw something or read something the other day that reminded him of you. Don’t be fooled because this man is planting the seed for an affair with you.

David Wygant, Dating and relationship coach and author says:

“So, how do you spot this guy right from the beginning? Well, he’s usually the guy you meet who immediately wants to be your “friend.” Yet, these men aren’t just friends with women. They’re only friends with women they’re attracted to. Because that’s how it starts — with a mental affair. He’ll frame your interaction as business, like, “Hey, let’s have a business dinner,” or “Hey, let’s grab a drink after work.” He’ll flirt with you in ways that seem all so innocent. But let me tell you something: It’s not. Because this so-called “happily married man” is not happy.”

As the night wears on you notice your guy friend getting closer and closer to you. He is flirting more intensely. You do your best not to flirt back as you know his wife and know that she is a very nice person. He will tell his wife that you are friends so that it doesn’t make it look like he is cheating.

These are classic signs of a married man that is not satisfied with his married life, so he is going to try and get a little something on the side to make himself feel better. He is not going to leave his wife for you, so don’t even travel down that road because it will only end up in heartache. If you encounter such a man, run in the other direction, maybe towards someone who is worthy of all of your time.

In the end, you will find that a lot of women who get into relationships with married men did not set out to date one; they just fell into the trap of a cunning married man.

Of course there are women who avoid intimacy and commitment by dating married men. Then there are those who go after “rich” men, regardless of whether they are married or not. But the next time you see a woman who is dating a married man, consider that she may have fallen prey to a tricky married man who knew what he was doing all along.

  1. I’m confused: the title and article content don’t match. Is there another article exploring why some women go for married men & skip single men?

  2. WOW! Someone finally speaks the “other” truths. There are so many women that blame the other woman and never the man. If your mate is a cheater, blame him/her not the other person. He/she is not the one that made the commitment to you.

  3. Wow!!! This is the reason why Women don’t trust Men because articles like this make us out to be on some sneak Sh*t.

  4. I don’t agree totally with this. For starters, not being happy at home is not the only reason a man cheats. Some are just promiscuous by nature. My brother is married and his wife is good as gold. My brother still do what he does. It angers me because she is such a good woman and I am a woman myself. So people say its because he’s unhappy…BS. He’s been this way since I can remember with each girlfriend that hes had. He just saw the good in this one and wifed her. Now there are some women out there that has an attraction for married men. I think the challenge of trying to persuade him to cheat is thrilling for them. When I was engaged to my husband, he had all kind of exes come out the woods looking for him lol. Stuff happens and we just got to know how to deal with it when it does. Keep God in your marriage!!

  5. Cheating occurs because you are drawn or enticed by your own lust. It starts in the head and then it ends up in bed. Don’t go out with someone elses wife or hubby and don’t allow someone elses mate to entice you into having dinner, lunch nor breakfast unless it is a business date with a real cause to meet. When you do, if you are a woman dress and conduct yourself like a woman and not to entice that man…women know what they do when they dress seductively. People cheat because they want to cheat and often times if alcohol is involved it happens and guilt comes but its too late then. Be wise and choose not to do it.

These garbage is the acting out of male doggishness and female whoredom. In the end it is defined as PROMISCUITY.

  7. The answer to this is simple. If a man/woman is married and the unmarried party knows this then simply don’t give them 1-on-1 access under any circumstances.
Things get complicated when the two people are old friends or whatever but people should know better when they are attracted to one another.
We’re not talking derivatives here folks, it’s really not that complicated at all.

Good thing I have a faithful husband… this article is not the truth for all men there really are some good men who don't flirt, look or even give the time of day to another woman that is outside of his wife. The article tries and make it seem that all married men are bored with their married life…not true.
